Celtic Fire - Burning the Celtic Flame

Introducing an exciting new range of hand cast and crafted candles containing “Celtic Mist” quality fragrance with natural bees wax and waxes. Individually boxed in a recycled natural box.

The Celtic Flame held great significance for the Celts and served a number of functions. They believed that by purifying the air in the home it was a means of protection from malign influences and also ensured the fertility of the community, animals and crops. The hearthstone was the focal point for heat and light in the house, many prayers are associated with the tending of the flame, which was kept burning through out the year.

Courtney Davis was born in South Wales in 1946 on the night of All Hallows before the great Celtic festival of Samhain. From these beginnings it is not surprising that he has gone on to become widely renowned for his contemporary interpretation of the ancient symbolism, myths and legends of the Celtic Culture and a leading exponent of the art of Celtia.
In the 25 years he has been portraying Celtic art he has illustrated over 35 published books and exhibited his paintings worldwide, this exposure has encouraged a large following of
enthusiasts of his work.
